Q&A with Achim L’chaim’s Arale Wattenstein to follow the film*
When the Smoke Clears reveals powerful, personal and inspirational stories of young Israeli soldiers whose injuries have forced them to forge a new identity and rebuild their lives. Making breakthroughs and finding hope by reaching out to those in need, they discover renewed meaning and healing through giving to others. A moving documentary that shows us how, by overcoming adversity, we can become heroes in our own lives and in the lives of others.
This film tells the true stories of soldiers from Achim L’chaim – Brothers for Life, an organisation strongly supported by the HK Jewish community.
* Arale Wattenstein is the External Relations Coordinator for Achim L’chaim, Brothers for Life. He served as an officer in the Paratroopers division of the Israeli army and was injured by a Molotov cocktail in Nablus in 2005.
